Jane E. Plante, 79, of Manchester, NH, died July 2, 2012, at Elliot Hospital, after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, NH on December 27, 1932, she was the daughter of Howard F. and Stella (Walicki) Humphrey. She was also the step-daughter of Amelia (Wyskiel) Humphrey. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Mrs. Plante graduated from Manchester High School Central.
She spent her life as a homemaker.
She was a longtime communicant of Saint Pius X Church. Since its inception, she was a loyal member of the choir.
Mrs. Plante will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose family was the center of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who meant the world to her; and she meant the world to them. She would spare no amount of love and support of her family, as they always came first. She is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
Family members include her husband of sixty-years, Bernard L. Plante of Manchester; her son, Howard M. Plante and his wife, Janet, of Manchester; two daughters, Cathy A. Foster and her husband, David, of Enfield, NH and Janice E. Morin and her husband, Arthur, of Goffstown; five grandchildren, Rory, Cameron, Alexa, Laura, and Emily.
Services: Calling hours are Friday from 9 to 10:15AM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.
The funeral will be held Friday with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11AM in Saint Pius X Church, Manchester.
Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
