Robert G. L’Esperance, 67, of Goffstown, NH, died June 22, 2012, after a period of failing health.
Born in Manchester, NH on March 21, 1945, he was the son of George and Alice (Lamontagne) L’Esperance. He resided in Manchester most of his life before moving to Goffstown several years ago.
He served with the NH Army National Guard.
Early in his career, he worked at Brunswick Poultry Company for eighteen years. Until his retirement, he was a truck driver with the Goffstown Public Works Department.
Mr. L’Esperance was a member of the Teamsters Union local #633, where he served as chief steward.
He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and was loyal to AA.
He was married forty-four years to Nancy C. (Farley) L’Esperance. She died August 28, 2006. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Leah-Marie L’Esperance who died in 2003.
He leaves his companion, Constance R. Vaillancourt of Goffstown; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Services: Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
